Child Education Builds Confidence
Child Rescue Network teaches that knowledge is power and that fear is simply not knowing what to do. So if we educate our children on how to recognize potentially dangerous situations and then how to react if the need arises, we can go a long way in keeping our kids safe!
First of all we have to change our methods by getting rid of the terrible message of Stranger Danger that instills fear and can create issues that last long into adulthood. Instead of scaring our kids we should empower them! It's all about education.
That means in addition to teaching our kids we must also educate parents, communities, civic and business leaders, and government on the the facts of the way things are and how important it is to change things. When enough people understand what is really going on and step up and say "This is not acceptable", then we can be a catalyst for change.
In the meantime, we can be much more effective in how we teach our children... empowering them to make better and potentially life-saving decisions. The first step is making a difference and getting involved. Child Rescue Network has a variety of community outreach programs designed to raise awareness of the serious issues when it comes to the sexual exploitation of children. CRN also teaches groups on the best ways to help protect our kids and how they can get involved more directly. Civic organizations like Rotary and Kiwanis, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Organizations, Law Enforcement and Social Service Agencies, even government meetings are excellent opportunities for us to share our key message. If you can make arrangements for us to provide a seminar or presentation that would be extremely helpful. Simply contact us to learn more!
