Self Empower Action for Children

Being a child advocate is a job that truly falls on each of us. Whether you have kids or not most of us want children to live safe and happy lives. However there are those who actually prey on the most innocent amongst us. Indeed, there are an estimated 4 million child molesters in the United States today and it is up to all of us to keep a watchful eye on our kids, to help keep them safe.

To make a difference requires action for our children. Get involved and you will be amazed at the results. Protecting children is truly everybody's responsibility. So whether you volunteer at a local charity that mentors or works with kids, or if you just pay closer attention to helping protect the kids in your neighborhood, change starts with getting involved.

When it comes to protecting kids from sexual predators, Child Rescue Network is leading the way. Our proactive safety programs help teach parents and communities the best ways to empower kids. The children least likely to be targeted are ones who have confidence, understand boundaries, and are not afraid to stand up for themselves. Again each one of us, whether you have kids or not, can help. Praising a child for a job well done or offering a simple word of encouragement can go a long way towards building confidence in a child. When you combine that confidence with some information about predators you can help keep kids safe, healthy, and well-balanced.

Sexual predators want to find the naive child who is craving some attention. The predator wants a child they can control, who they can be assured won't go running to mom or dad to tell. By building our kids confidence we can help empower them to make decisions that will help keep them from becoming a victim of a sexual predator. Part of the plan is to simply make kids aware of some of the lures and tricks predators use and then we must teach our kids how to react if the need ever arises.

Child Rescue Network provides safety seminars to help parents do just that, so contact us to discover more.
